About
Camille Ora-Nicole (she/they) is a Writer, Producer, and Artist hailing from West Rancho Dominguez, now residing in Long Beach, CA.
Camille's work is multidisciplinary - utilizing the best medium for the project at hand. The majority of their work addresses themes of belonging, love, and growth as they pertain to the physical places we find ourselves in throughout life. Camille is also a heritage conservationist interested in intangible heritage and conservation themes in media and art. Camille is also the founder of the non-profit The Queer 26, an organization dedicated to creating a space and sharing resources with BIPOC Creatives living in Los Angeles County. Their debut book of poetry "Macro Micro Atomic" is available now on Amazon, and their music can be found on all streaming platforms.
Background
Camille received a BFA from Cal Poly Pomona in Graphic Design, along with a minor in Art History. They also received an M.HC (Master of Heritage Conservation) from USC in 2018. Her thesis focused on the history of Compton CA, and potential strategies for the conservation of landmarks in the city.
Chelsey Crabbe (she/her) is a Writer, Fundraiser, and Gourmand from the South Shore of Massachusetts. An in-betweener, she currently resides in East Hollywood -- a new Angeleno from the dunes of the Cape.
Currently, Chelsey is the Development Coordinator at the Los Angeles Conservancy, a non-profit dedicated to preserving, protecting, and elevating L.A. County’s historical, architectural, and cultural resources. She previously worked for five years as Executive Coordinator at Harvard Kennedy School’s Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics, and Public Policy, a research center studying our information ecosystem and how it relates to a healthy democracy. Chelsey is driven by a passion for storytelling and enjoys writing, cooking, traveling, and being by the ocean as much as possible.
Background
While at Harvard, Chelsey received her M.A. in Museum Studies and has a B.A. in History and Community Action from Trinity College (CT). Her academic interests include processing historical trauma, creating collective memory, and protecting cultural heritage -- especially culinary and coastal heritage. Both of her theses focused on protecting heritage during armed conflict. First, during World War II and then, during recent conflicts in the Middle East.
