Bummer Summer / WWWHB #1

This project was initially developed for a projection mapping/film school class at USC. I created this story using one of the drawings I made to ironically help me pay attention through Conservation courses. The piece is about a family that makes a home and forms core memories in response to intensely emotional events. Although the family eventually leaves, the house remains - ready to take on its next chapter.

To the right: The original pen + ink and watercolor drawing of the home featured in Bummer Summer.

An experimental animation inspired by the song Summer Bummer by Lana Del Rey. A family grows in a new house and goes through the motions of love, depression, and comfort.
